Frequently Asked Questions

What is an active animal? How are cows and calves counted?

An active animal is any active animal in your operation, including bulls, cows, and calves. Cows and calves are counted separately. An animal that dies or is sold no longer counts toward the active animal limit. AI bulls, donor cows, and pedigree (reference) animals also do not count toward the active animal limit.

What if I have both registered and commercial cattle?

Registered plans include all the features of commercial plans, along with additional tools such as 3-generation pedigrees and breed association integrations. Both registered and commercial cattle can be managed within the same account. Plan selection depends on the importance of registered-specific features for record-keeping needs. Commercial cattle within a registered plan can also be designated by category or group.

How many users can an account have?

Accounts can include as many users as needed at no extra cost. Each user has individual login credentials, with customizable roles to manage access and permissions.

Can cattle sales be tracked in CattleMax?

Track your cattle sales in CattleMax by creating a Sales Ticket. Within each ticket, you can record buyer details, sale price, weights, and any associated costs. Easily stay organized and keep a clear record of which cattle were sold, and to whom, using built-in reports.

What if I need to cancel?

CattleMax does not have contracts, and you can cancel at any time.
