"I had some cows in my Fall herd that showed up open and I will hold them over and breed them in the Spring. How do I do this with production years?"

Sometimes a cow will be in a production year (eg. Spring 2007) and will not breed and you may want to expose the cow during the next breeding season (eg. Fall 2007).

It is important to NOT delete the cow's production year record when she is open (Spring 2007) because this can affect your reporting and pregnancy percentage numbers.

Steps to transfer an open cow from one calving season to another (eg. Spring 2007 to Fall 2008)

   1. From the cow's record, click on the Breeding tab
   2. Click the "New" button on the Pregnancy information tab to add a new production year record.
