Knowledge Base Home File management and backups

Be sure your ranch name and serial number (shown on the receipt you received with your purchase) has been entered by clicking the Help button at the top of CattleMax CS and choosing Registration (Serial Number).

To create a new CattleMax file, click the Office button in the top left corner of the CattleMax CS screen and choose New Herd File.

To create a new CattleMax file based on records you entered into the Sample file, click the Office button in the top left corner of CattleMax CS, choose Convert then choose "Convert Sample File to New Herd File".

To open an existing CattleMax file (that's on the computer that ends in .cmdb), click the Office button in the top left corner of CattleMax CS and choose Open Herd File.

To restore a CattleMax CS file that you have backed up (that ends in .cmbk) , click the Office button in the top left corner of CatteMax CS and choose Restore Backup File.
