Common Questions

How does the free trial work?

Your CattleMax online account is fully accessible and has all of the features of the selected edition. Enter as many records and details as you want – there are no limits during the trial and any existing data can be retained after subscribing.

How does billing work?

When you sign up for CattleMax and enter your billing information, your credit card will automatically be charged each month until you choose to cancel.

Can I change editions if my needs change?

Yes, simply click the ‘Billings and Upgrades’ link from your Account Settings screen.

How do updates and upgrades work?

New features and fixes are automatically included as they are available. No need to download any software or request a CD of the current version. Read about the specifics of each update by clicking the “Change History” link on the Dashboard of your account.

Upgrading from CattleMax CS?

Can I import my existing cattle records into CattleMax Online?

Your records can be imported from many existing cattle software programs (CattleMax CS and earlier, LonghornMax CS and earlier, CattlePro, CattleWorks, Cowsense, Redwing Cow-Calf and several others. If your records are in a previous version of CattleMax or LonghornMax, your records and photos can easily be imported. We can also import records from many breed associations at no additional charge.

I recently purchased CattleMax CS, an additional license, and/or online backup subscription. Can I get credit?

If you purchased after March 31, 2011 then your purchase falls under the CattleMax Upgrade Protection Guarantee. You are eligible to a credit to your CattleMax Online account for the full price of your purchase of: CattleMax software, additional licenses, and online backup subscriptions. After signing up for your account, just contact us and we will credit your account.

Can I download or synchronize my CattleMax Online records to CattleMax CS?

No. CattleMax Online is designed to be a complete cattle management software and therefore it is a standalone application.
