Opening the Tool
Click the Start button, choose All Programs, Cattlesoft, CattleMax CS then choose the “CattleMax Customer Service Tool."
Overview Tab
Provides installation, version and licensing details.
The labels that are underlined/clickable open the related screens.
- Installation location opens that location through Windows Explorer
- Configuration file opens the CattleMax CS.ini file
- Serial Number opens the Registration/Serial Number screen in CattleMax CS (without CattleMax CS needing to be open). Changes made on this screen are automatically made in CattleMax CS.
- Activation ID opens the activation process for CattleMax CS
- Backup subscription opens the Registration/Serial Number screen (without CattleMax CS needing to be open). Changes made on this screen are automatically made in CattleMax CS.
Files on This Computer Tab
This list shows all CattleMax herd files in the c:\cattlesoft folder and on the desktop. The formats shown are .cmdb, .cmbk, .cwk and .cwz.
Clicking on the files ending in .cmdb or .cwk enables the “Send to Support” link at the top of the list.
Clicking on files ending in .cmbk or .cwz will also enable the “Restore to CattleMax” link to restore the file into CattleMax.
Files in Online Backup Tab
If you have an Online Backup subscription serial number and saved files through the Online Backup process, those files will appear here.
Clicking on a file enables the “Restore to CattleMax” and “Download to Desktop” links. The “Restore to CattleMax” file will restore the file into CattleMax.
Files from Customer Service Tab
Files from Customer Service that are linked to your serial number will appear here.
The “Restore to CattleMax” link appears when a .cmbk or .cwz file is selected. You can click the "Restore to CattleMax" and your file will be restored into the program
.cmdb and .cmbk are CattleMax CS formats, .cwk and .cwz are previous CattleMax version formats
