Knowledge Base Home File management and backups

The CattleMax herd file and backup herd files are designed to only be accessible in the CattleMax software.

A file ending in .cmdb is an actual CattleMax CS herd file that can be opened by clicking the Office button in CattleMax CS (in the top left corner) and choosing Open Herd File.

A file ending in .cmbk is a CattleMax CS backup file can be opened by clicking the Office button in CattleMax CS and choosing the "Restore From Backup" option.

NOTE

Restoring a CattleMax backup file onto the computer will overwrite the existing CattleMax file on the computer (if there is already a CattleMax herd file name with the same name) to match the records in the backup file.
